What are those on the lower lapel? Airborne didn't wear the unit crest as far as I can tell. Don't forget the enlistment stripes and the overseas stripe!

What? Distinctive Insignia's are required by Army Regs at the time. Enlisted men on their lapel, Officers on their shoulders between their head and rank. I could see them being cowboys about it. But I left it to regs. No one rates an enlistment stripe yet it hasn't been three years since anyone was in... Unless Ryker is an old Nat'l Guard hand. I guess we'll find out when he straightens out that part of his story. And sadly you've only been overseas for 2 1/2 months. Not the 6 required for an overseas stripe. But those will come in time... Probalby when we finish Salerno, I'll do your D-day uniforms.

Oh, I thought both were six month blocks per stripe. Yeah your right...find them with unit insignias on it. Apparently wasn't doing the right google search.

GI-rene wrote:Yeah we are getting in tight with this airborne group that does *sigh* E Co. 2/506, 101st... But they aren't bandwagon, they've been doing that impression since 1994 and one of the Easy Co. Vets is a sponsor that these guys are legit. They take their airborne impression pretty seriously including the Class A's. I figured if they had DI's they had a good reason to be wearing them. Meh, you and Tom's will be harder, I have no cartoony Sgt's stripes, I'm going to try and use the Clone tool on the Pfc stripe and see if I can get teh distance right so it looks like Sgt's stripes...

Oh, I think I may know one of the members. Is a guy named Joe Muccia (Nickname Mooch) a member? Think he's a Sgt. He sis part of one of the legit E/506 groups.
